A LOOK THROUGH THE LENS OF THE MICROCHURCH
A GUIDE TO MICROCHURCH MINISTRY
by Rev. Bob DeSagun, Ph.D.
Smaller definitely has its advantages. Recently a movement of smaller, simplistic, and streamlined models of church have been gaining momentum. The microchurch is a simple, intimate, and versatile model that is easily reproducible with little to no cost. Bob DeSagun provides a look into the various facets of the Christian church with a particular emphasis on the strengths, benefits, and advantages of doing ministry on a small-scale. The perspectives, insights, and practical approaches that he shares in this book serve as a guide to microchurch ministry.
Dodeka (pronounced DOE-deh-kuh) is the Greek word for the number twelve which is found in Luke 6:13. Jesus chose, focused, and heavily invested into twelve ordinary human beings who would in turn change the world.
The Dodeka Network advocates for ministry on a small-scale design that has a greater potential for fostering simplicity, intimacy, versatility as well as cost effectiveness towards Christian discipleship and missions.
The Dodeka Network is a fellowship of microchurches (3-15 people) that are intentional about discipling its members and multiplying its (micro)churches.
To multiply microchurches that will saturate every subculture of society with the life-transforming gospel message of Jesus Christ.
Intimacy lends itself to effective and meaningful Christian discipleship.
Simplicity is easy and easily reproducible.
Versatility allows for adaptability practically anywhere and in any context.
Eliminating overhead costs and reallocating it towards missions.
We believe in one God who is good and perfect and exists in three persons - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was God in the flesh who gave His life on the cross as a demonstration of His love for us for the forgiveness of humanity's sin.
We believe people are in need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Bible is "God's Word" to us and reveals His story to redeem the world and us to Himself.
The primary role of the network directors is to provide leadership that ensures the network is functioning in accordance with its mission, values and guidelines. The team also provides resources, guidance, coaching, and leadership development training for its microchurches.
Bob is a licensed and ordained minister with The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) and is a member of the Licensing and Ordination Council for the South Pacific District of The C&MA. He is a pastor of one of the network's microchurches and is an adjunct professor for Point Loma Nazarene University, Regent University, and Crown College. He received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Leadership and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with a major in Ecclesial Leadership from Regent University's School of Business and Leadership.

Our International Partners
Our international partners are official workers with The Christian and Missionary Alliance who we support financially and through prayers.
The Neigenfind Family
Keith and Sarah, along with their two kids Lauren and Margaret, work as church planting missionaries with The Christian and Missionary Alliance in Thailand. They started and are currently running the Alliance University Center, a community center next to a local university in Bankok, where they run English courses, community events, and church services on Sundays.
For further information please feel free to follow their blog at neigenfindsinthailand.blogspot.com.
The Romano Family
Rick and Tammie have been in the Dominican Republic since 2012, serving with Envision through 2014 in the DR. In the winter of 2014 they moved from Envision to marketplace ministries within the C&MA…at that same time they started his own non-profit organization called Mission Twentyfive 35. M25/35 is situated on 10 acres of land in the Cibao region where they have spent the last two years working: we have planted plantains and yuca, built a water filter/plastic recycling factory, aquaponics greenhouse, chicken coup, and purchased six goats. Their desire is to reach the least of these through job training, food/water, education, and medical. Using these four foundations as ways to share the gospel, and meet the needs of people in remote areas of the DR.
For further information on this project please go to our website at www.missiontwentyfive35.org and facebook missiontwentyfive35 where we up date with photos and information regularly.
